aims at expanding the possibilities of art, and his practice is heterogeneous and unpredictable, employing diverse mediums and methods to spark chain reactions that have the capacity to alter our perception.

Golia is represented by Gagosian Gallery.

As a young man in Naples, Piero Golia studied chemical engineering, learning about the transformation of raw materials into powerful energy sources. He has had solo exhibitions at Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas. His work has been featured in exhibitions at institutions such as P.S.1 in New York, Serpentine Gallery in London, LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum) in Los Angeles, and Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson.

“Even though I was born in Naples and I live in Los Angeles, skiing is my big passion. Once a week I drive up to Big Bear mountain to go skiing. I spent years imagining my ‘dream skis’ and today I have the opportunity to make the dream a reality.” PIERO GOLIA

The "FIREFLYER" series was born after 2 years of Piero and Bomber collaborating and on-mountain testing, resulting in All-Mountain skis that provide remarkable performance at both high and low speeds. The skis are handcrafted from the most technologically advanced materials and engineered for a responsive, dynamic and effortless feel on a variety of terrains. The skis are 78mm underfoot, perfect for the entire mountain, and will empower all skiers - novice to expert - to ski better with more confidence and control, elevating their experience in all conditions.

The pigment used on the topsheets incorporates a revolutionary thin-film technology producing a wide range of hues depending on the angle at which it is viewed and the angle of incidence of light to create a dramatic color shift.

Available in 3 distinct styles (BLACK HEAT, RAGING RED, ICE HOT), the collaboration between Bomber and Piero Golia consists of a limited edition of 100 pairs per style, plus 10 unnumbered Artist proofs. Each pair of skis comes with a signed certificate of authenticity signed by the artist and Bomber Ski.
